Sunday, September 11 is the thirteenth Sunday after Pentecost. We will honor all of our emergency personnel in all three services today. There will also be a reception to thank On that same day, Louise Reimer, our missionary to Peru, will be sharing with us during the Sunday School hour in the Fellowship Hall. The Early, Informal Worship Service begins at 8:15 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Sunday School classes meet from 9:05-9:55 a.m. except for the 50/50 Class that meets from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The Contemporary Worship Service begins at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary with the Praise Band/Worship Team leading worship. Phil Lunt will be our Liturgist in the Traditional Service. The Traditional Worship Service starts at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. Jane Biles will be playing Prayer for Unity (Kevin Keil) for the offertory in both the early and traditional services. The Chancel Choir will sing Let All the World in Every corner Sing for the Introit and two anthems, Send Out the Singers (Pethel) and God Bless America (Berlin/Eilers). The Scriptures for today’s message include Joshua 1:1-9 and Matthew 14:22-33. Rev. Dan Ferguson will be preaching the sermon “Never Forget, Never Fear” in all three services, Sunday. Our Monday activities include the Quilters who meet in the basement at 9:30 a.m. The Faithfully Fit Forever Exercise team meets regularly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:00 am during the summer. Tuesday, Endowment will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room. The Ladies Bible Study group meets at 7 am on Wednesdays.

Fall ministry activities have begun. Join us next Wednesday, September 14 with Snack Supper beginning at 5:00 p.m. God Rocks begins at 5:45 p.m. This exciting new children’s ministry is for kids ages 3-4th grade includes upbeat music, Bible stories, memory Scriptures, crafts, and games- all age appropriate. We have Jr. Hi Youth 5th-8th grades at 6:00 p.m. and Sr. High, 9-12th grade at 7:00 p.m. in the youth room upstairs. Indescribable small group ministry teams will kick off in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 p.m. that evening for adults! We will have a singles group, Single Focus as well as Home Builders geared for married couples, and a small group from women, men, and those representing our 50/50 class as well! We have something for everyone, including a nursery! Please join us for great fellowship and opportunities for community and spiritual growth.

Are you a golfer? We are pleased to announce our 2nd Annual, “Go for the Gold,” Golf Tournament slated for Saturday, October 8. Be looking for more details soon! Looking ahead, Sunday, September 18th is Christian Education Sunday! We will be honoring our teachers and ministry leaders. Friday and Saturday, September 23, 24 the United Methodist Women of the Kansas West Conference will meet for their annual meeting at our church in Pratt.
