History - Organists
"We Appreciate" our organists.
Have you noticed how busy our present excellent organist, Jane Biles, is during the Morning Worship service. The only time she is idle is during the Message. Our History Of The Methodist Church, Pratt, Kansas, 1878 - 1966 lists a number of early day "accompanists." It was not, however, until 1914 that the church acquired a pipe organ.
This required a special musician, an organist. Hazel Barnes was our first, followed by Faith Flemming (who served from 1918 until 1960), followed by Wilma Rollman, Merle Sloan, Louise Turner, and always substitute Lou Lynn Moss. These talented musicians are admired for their devotion and appreciated for their talents.
